JOHN COLTRANE Duke Ellington & John Coltrane (Very rare 1963 German promotional 7-track mono LP on a black on white Philips label with custom 'Sample Not For Sale' print, recorded on September 26th 1962 by Rudy Van Gelder with backing from Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones, Aaron Bell & Sam Woodyard, housed in the first US manufactured heavy duty front laminated & internal pasted gatefold sleeve. There is just the beginnings of a tiny hairline split in the paper at one edge of the spinebut otherwise the sleeve looks glorious with few other signs of shelfwear. The heavyweight vinyl is clean & in EX+ condition with only the faintest signs of a paper scuff. A beauty! A-30)
