RENZO ROSSELLINI L'Annonce Faite A Marie (Amazing 1971 French only double live LP recorded on 26th January that year, featuring the RAI Orchestra & Choir of Turin under the direction of George Sebastian, performing the opera based on the workof Paul Claudel set to music by Rossellini. The principal performers include Eliane Manchet, Christiane Stutzmann, Edmée Sabran, Julien Haas, Charles Burles & Jean-Pierre Laffage. The gatefold picture sleeve is a work of art, being textured andembossed in gold. This copy also has a sixty page 4" by 6" Italian printed booklet giving the full text of the Opera as performed at the French première in Paris on the 30th October 1970. An astonishing copy that remains in near 'as new' condition with minimal shelfwear and immaculate vinyl. A treasure to treasure SMS2838/39)
