U2 Wide Awake In America - 12 Years With U2 Backstage & Beyond (1992 UK 250-page 9" x 6" softback book which is the the story of the Irish rock band's conquest of the US, as observed by Carter Alan. The writer maintained a close association with U2 and has travelled extensively with the band on the road. The book builds up individual pictures of Bono, The Edge, Larry & Adam and looks at how together they are responsible for U2's reputation as the most significant social, policitaland spiritual voice of rock. Includes fourteen pages of black & white photographs and colour Bono picture cover. The cover has some light creasing, but the inner pages are in near 'as new' condition)
