JIMMY WITHERSPOON 'Spoon Sings 'N' Swings (1967 UK 11-track mono LP on the black & silver Fontana label, recorded live at the Bull's Head in Barnes on May 23rd the previous year, a pub which had a reputation for jazz in Britain not far behindRonnie Scott's Club. Jimmy was warmly welcomed & led by a backing group among the highest calibre in British Jazz, comprising Dick Morrissey, Harry South, Phil Bates & Phil Seamen. The pasted laminate sleeve is just a little 'smokey' around the edges & the vinyl is clean with just light evidence of play. Never seen this one! TL5382)
