CHARLES MINGUS Jazz Portraits (1960 UK first press 4-track mono LP, part of a concert given in January, 1959, at the Nonagon Art Gallery in New York, starring Mingus on bass with John Handy [alto sax], Booker Ervin [tenor sax], Richard Wyands[piano] & Dannie Richmond [drums]. Jazz Portraits occupies a worthy place in the series of remarkable LPs Mingus recorded. The front laminated flipback sleeve is Excellent with only minor ageing - There is a inward dent on the spine & a vintage shop price sticker attached on the back. The vinyl is nice & clean & in Excellent condition with little play ULP1004)
