THELONIOUS MONK Thelonious Monk With John Coltrane (1961 US promotional 6-track mono LP on a non-deep groove Jazzland label with custom black on white print & 'Not For Sale' text, originally recorded in New York between 1957 & '58. Wilbur Ware,''Shadow'' Wilson, Coleman Hawkins, Gigi Gryce, Ray Copeland & Art Blakey all perform albeit in two separate sessions, where Coltrane lends his incredible expertise to the Monk classics Ruby My Dear, Off Minor, Nutty, Epistrophy & more. The pasted sleeve is stamped 'DJ Copy Not For Sale' on the back, & has picked up some edge scuffing & a small paper tear on the front top left. Despite the VG- condition of the sleeve, the vinyl remains clean & in Excellent condition with few signs of play JLP46)
