HARRY BELAFONTE Calypso (1956 US RCA deep groove label 11-track mono LP, his third & breakthrough album, second consecutive number-one on the Billboard Top Pop Album chart & the first in the US to sell over one million copies within a year, includes the classic Day-O and Jamaica Farewell; front pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve has some minor wear with a couple of creases and discolouration to the reverse. The vinyl is strictly graded very good, with some minor surface marks. We have professionally cleaned & play tested, and can confirm these are mostly cosmetic with just a little background crackle and displays no major deterioration in sound quality. A really nice copy of this almost sixty year old pressing LPM-1248)
