LAURINDO ALMEIDA & BUD SHANK Brazilliance (Very scarce 60s Japanese-only white label promo 12-track stereo LP, sent out to Japanese reviewers with custom labels & housed in a 'sample record' die-cut sleeve. This rare disc documents some of theearliest 'Bossa Jazz' style recordings in existence. Starting as a collaborative series in 1953, the recordings here date from 1958-9, & were originally released in the States under the titles Holiday In Brazil & Latin Contrasts, & secondly as Brazilliance 2 & 3. Recently picked up by our man in Japan, the vinyl remains in staggering near 'as new' condition WP-8248)
