This is a 30 i.p.s. 10½" reel stereo safety master 1:1 copy from the digital master tape, made at Tape 1 Mastering on quality Ampex ½" tape on the 13th June 1983. Mastered using an AES curve at 0dB, this tape has no noise reduction and contains the full 7:15 Version of the song from the album of the same name. As you can imagine, given that the other copy of this tape was the one that produced the released master, this sort of thing seldom surfaces for sale. People hunt for years for that elusive first press of an LP to attempt to get pressing plates as close as possible to the original master tape, but here is a 1:1 copy of the master tape made at the same time.
