VARIOUS The Blues (1961 UK 12-track vinyl compilation LP on the green Columbia label, front laminated picture sleeve with detailed liner notes on the reverse. Seminal blues collection originally issued on the Vee Jay label in the US, although titled the blues there is a sprinkling of soul, R&B throughout - essential! The sleeve shows some signs of age/wear wtih a small area of paper wear due to the removal of the tax code sticker but remains fully intact with all text clearly legible,the vinyl shows a few hairlines and play testing reveals the occasional light 'pop' but this is minimal and doesn't greatly detract from the quality of the music - priced advantageously 33SX1417)
