THE BEATLES Revolver (Rare 1969 UK third issue of the 1966 14-track mono LP, on the black & yellow Parlophone label with 'Gramophone Co' perimeter label text but without 'Sold In The UK', issued between summer and November 1969. This was one of the last pressings to use the black & yellow design & is now hard to find indeed. This pressing is within a front laminated flipback picture sleeve crediting DR. ROBERT where the labels have been changed to 'Doctor Robert' & small 'mono' logo on the front. The label text also lists the lead singer before the composer credit. This is the third pressing which was released during the summer of 1969 until November 1969. The label design is black with yellow logo and silver print, with “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” perimeter print and without the 'Sold In The UK' text or a tax code. The lead singer is listed BEFORE the composer credit.

Matrix numbers:
Side 1: XEX 605-2
Side 2: XEX 606-2

The sleeve is manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd., with a small “mono” on front, still retains the 'Dr. Robert' credit but the labels list 'Doctor Robert'. This is front laminated with a top & bottom flipback and includes the sepia colour EMI “LP advertising” inner sleeve.

Condition
The sleeve displays some minor general wear with some light creases to the laminate, with only light ringwear visible on the non-laminated back. There is some light tape residue present along the opening edge on the back, with intact flipbacks and all text is present including along the spine.

The labels have some marks around the spindle hole to show it has been played a few times but nothing to excessive.

The vinyl has some noticeable surface marks, but thanks to the fantastic 60s press, these are mostly cosmetic and cause no major deterioration in sound quality, just the odd sound between the tracks is really the only thing noticeable.

Although not mint, this is still a very good example of this extremely hard to find pressing, and the first example we have ever seen.
