VARIOUS Studio One Ironsides (2013 UK 18-track double LP, named after one of Studio One's small subsidiary labels, when Clement Dodd was at the height of his powers in the late sixties, early seventies, having to invent new label names to trick radio DJs, wary of playing too much music from the legendary studio, into playing his records. These creatively titled new label names included Ironsides, Money Disc, ND Records, Bongo Man & Forward - many of the best & rarest tunes are collated here, from Marcia Griffiths & Prince Jazzbo to Dennis Alcapone, The Soul Brothers & beyond. The gatefold picture sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Excellent with light signs of play only SJRLP260)
