The Nyman / Greenaway Soundtracks

MICHAEL NYMAN The Nyman / Greenaway Soundtracks (Scarce 1989 UK FOUR CD set comprising the soundtracks for the four feature films that Peter Greenaway & Michael worked on between 1982 - 1989, providing a look at the fortuitous & deliberate connections and disconnections between the four scores - in short, to consider their intertextuality. The CDs feature the soundtracks to The Draughtsman’s Contract, A Zed And Two Noughts, Drowning by Numbers & The Cook The Thief His Wife And Her Lover. The music’s exuberance & energy is infectious, far beyond the normal confines of 'film score'. The CDs and their accompanying booklet are housed in a beautiful 13" square textured box with gold embossed lettering. A fantastic collection from this provocative collaboration! DVEBN55)
