JOHN COLTRANE The Africa Brass Sessions, Vol. 2 (1980 US issue of the 1974 3-track vinyl LP on the rainbow MCA label, with orchestra arranged & conducted by the incredible Eric Dolphy & the usual top flight rhythm section of McCoy Tyner, JimmyGarrison & Elvin Jones, featuring previously unissued takes of Greensleeves & Africa, along with the previously unreleased Song Of The Underground Railroad. If you are familiar with 'Trane, then you will know that a 'different take' means a fundamentally different approach to the improvisations over the main theme, often winding down roads that you never realised were there at first listen! pasted gatefold picture sleeve with 'AS-9273 catalogue number & gold stamped Impulse! catalogue number. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl appears barely played MCA-29008)
