QUEEN News Of The World - Robot (Legendary UK promotional-only large plastic robot as featured on the NOTW album artwork. Also known as Frank - named after its designer, the American science fiction and fantasy artist Frank Kelly Freas. Measuring approximately 54 inches in height - nearly 140cm - this incredible rarity is made from silver coloured moulded plastic with hand-finished colouring and detail - each example is slightly different. The robot's hands create a platform upon which the vinyl LPs can be displayed, held in place by a red wire-framed basket. This example has a red QUEEN title sticker on its chest and it also has red eyes & mouth. This particular example was shipped to France for promotional duties in 1977 and then spent the past 26 years in the Provence-Cote d'Azur region. For a 40+ year old display it remains in excellent condition. A truly stunning centrepiece of any collection...!)
