GIL EVANS Gil Evans And Ten (Rare Debut 1957 UK 7-track mono LP on Esquire with 'RVG' machine stamped in the run-out, recorded that year by Rudy Van Gelder in his studio in Hackensack, New Jersey. This is an immensely enjoyable session performed with the likes of Steve Lacy, Lee Konitz, PaulChambers & Jo Jones, & comes housed in a superb flipback picture sleeve with a Steadman design entirely unique to this British release. The sleeve [VG+] does show a few areas of laminate peel on the back & some ring wear forgiveable with age. The vinyl has a deep sheen both sides & grades Excellent with few signs of play)
