FRANK SINATRA The Voice Of Frank Sinatra (Rare 1949 US 8-track 10" vinyl LP, his debut release, within a flipback style pink card title sleeve with sleeve notes, this was later replaced by a thick blue die-cut card variant. This 10" LP and the 12" LP Mendelssohn: Concerto In E Minor For Violin And Orchestra Op. 64 were both printed for the (soon to be announced) "Long Play LP's" for the Columbia catalogue, and is considered the first (modern) 10 inch LP ever. Columbia Records unveiledboth of these at a press conference in the Waldorf Astoria in June 1948. The sleeve displays some light general wear & signs of age, nothing excessive, and the vinyl remains excellent with some light cosmetic surface marks to show for its Seventy years. But that is not all, this example also includes a rare photo taken during the press conference in June 1948 of Frank holding 1946 78rpm set. The photo has some minor damage down the left side but Frank's image is unaffected CL6001)
