STAN TRACEY QUARTET Under Milk Wood (Early to mid 70s UK second issue of the classic 1965 8-track LP issued on Stan's own Steam label, first released on EMI Columbia in the Lansdowne Series. This is the original sixties instrumental version [no narration] of Stan's Jazz Suite inspired by Dylan Thomas's radio play, featuring the atmospheric & beautifully restraint 'Starless & Bible Black', one of the most evocative recordings committed to tape. The front laminated sleeve is Excellent with faint ring wear & the odd cosmetic mark, the vinyl grades VG+/EX- with a few paper hairlines which have little to no effect on play SJ101)
