TUBBY HAYES Tubbs (Rare original 1961 9-track 'Full Stereo' LP from the British jazz legend who was well on a par with his American peers, a superbly pressed record on a rough textured & black & silver Fontana label. Includes four tracks recordedas a Quartet with Tubby on tenor sax & backing from Terry Shannon [piano], Jeff Clyne [bass] & Bill Eyden [drums], as well as recordings of Tubbs on vibraphone with a big band, housed in a heavy duty front laminated flipback picture sleeve.The sleeve is in VG+ condition with just a few spots of discolouration to the reverse, a few small chips to the edges and the front image nice & clear. The heavyweight vinyl is clean & grades Excellent with just a few faint paper scuffs with little sign of spindle marks. Recommended STFL562)
