HOWARD RUMSEY'S LIGHTHOUSE ALL-STARS Volume 3 (1996 UK 11-track CD album reissued and remastered for the 'Original Jazz Classics' collection, recorded in Los Angeles, July 22nd, 1952, October 20th, 1953 and August 2nd, 1955. The All-Stars comprised of the cream of the crop of West Coast jazz men including Shorty Rogers, Shelly Manne, Herb Geller, Bud Shank, Claude Williamson, Max Roach, Stan Levey and more, famous for making The Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, CA the mecca of West Coast jazz in the fifties. Picture sleeve reproducing the original 1953 LP cover artwork with rollfold insert including liner note by Nesuhi Ertegun, tracklist/credits and detachable record company mail card, inlay with synopsis note tracklist and barcode all housed in a jewel case OJCCD-266-2)All recordings date from 1952 to 1955.
