VARIOUS-FOLK The 78 Project: Volume 1 (2014 US limited edition 13-track vinyl compilation LP featuring a collection of field recordings which were captured in non-traditional locations using an authentic 1930s Presto direct-to-disc recorder operating at 78rpm, a single microphone, a ruby cutting stylus and a blank lacquer disk. Including recordings from Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright III, Rosanne Cash, Valerie June, Joe Henry & Lisa Hannigan and more. The picture disc retains itsopened hype-stickered shrink and comes with the download code voucher while the vinyl looks barely played)
