MAX ROACH Max Roach (1980 Italian repackaging of the 'Members, Don't Git Weary' 1968 6-track stereo LP, also starring Gary Bartz, Charles Tolliver, Jymie Merritt, Stanley Cowell & guest vocalist Andy Bey. This is a much overlooked post-Bop/Modal gem, including the incredible spiritual bent of the title track & the fierce 'Absolutions' which foresaw where Jazz was to go in the seventies. Housed in a unique silk pocket gatefold sleeve, the cover shows a minor spot of paper wear & thevinyl appears barely played)
