LED ZEPPELIN / FACES BBC Transcription Discs: Pop Special 1 & 2 (Very rare 1971 UK 13-track BBC Transcription label vinyl 2-LP set, housed in the distinctive yellow BBC sleeves, each containing two sets of cue sheets. The labels are the all important green and yellow originals as opposed to black and white label counterfeits. Each disc is shared with Led Zeppelin on one side and The Faces on the other. The sleeves have some light general wear, the cue sheets have some pen annotations [for extra authenticity!] and the vinyl grades as Excellent with just a couple of hairlines in places not affecting play. Obtained from a former radio employee, these exclusive live performances are recorded to the BBC's high quality broadcast standard and sound fantastic, with only around 100 copies made these albums are highly prized, see more info for full details...)

Led Zeppelin's set was recorded for John Peel's 'In Concert' programme in April '71 at the Paris Theatre in London before a studio audience of just 400 lucky attendees and has a running time of fifty-eight minutes. This live performance became the most requested show in the 'In Concert' series. Of particular note is the performance of Stairway to Heaven was eight months prior to its release on Led Zep IV.

The Faces set was recorded in May '71 and was also recorded at the Paris Theatre and has a running time of fifty-three minutes and captures the classic line-up in full flow.
