SHIRLEY COLLINS The Sweet Primeroses (Second issue of the 1967 UK 15-track LP on the blue & silver Topic label featuring a slightly different label layout, recorded by Bill Leader & also featuring sister Dolly, where we hear the beginning of their exploration of the dark underbelly of medieval rural music. Shirley's pure, innocent, unaffected singing casts sunlight shafts across the dark tales of child murder and fairy magic while Dolly's purpose built portative pipe-organ stirs in the shadows; housed in a non-laminated picture sleeve with extensive sleeve notes on the back. The sleeve displays minimal wear and the vinyl looks barely played 12T170)
