WAYNE SHORTER The Soothsayer (Rare 1979 US 6-track stereo LP on Blue Note on the 'black note' label in the 'Jazz File' series of previously unissued material. Originally recorded in 1965, a key year for Shorter following his classic albums Ju Juand Speak No Evil for the label, The Soothsayer was inexplicable shelved but is nonetheless right up there as another must-have, starring James Spaulding, Freddie Hubbard, McCoy Tyner, RonCarter & Tony Williams, picture sleeve with extensive sleevenotes. The sleeve shows a little shelfwear whilst the vinyl appears barely played LBR-1021)
