And it still sounds like one of the best things that happened to rock that year. Made at the weird unruly intersection of Nineties alternative rock and a new stubbornly-indie underground, Yorn's firstrecord was a decisive turn away from the large hollow rage of grunge and rap-metal, into a richer tumult of folk-rock reflection, garage-band grind and pop-smart composition, with a striking confessional tension rooted in Yorn's teenage passion for the British rhythm and melancholy of the Smiths, the Cure and New Order. This copy is Sealed within the hype-stickered shrink. The top of the sleeve shows a little seam splitting and the back has a small puncture, where the barcode is. The sleeve is otherwise free of wear and the vinyl remain unplayed)
