CHARLES MINGUS The Black Saint And The Sinner Lady (2011 issue US LP pressed on 180gram VINYL playing at 45rpm, cut & mastered by AcousTech Mastering. Originally released in 1963 this was his first LP for Bob Thiele's fledgling label Impulse, after moving from Columbia, which highlights his compositional talent with a good portion of rhythmic variety to the melodiousness of his hero, Duke Ellington, and although Charlie Mariano's tenor saxophone is highlighted soloistically,it is really the varying timbres and changes in tempo that make this LP a sheer pleasure to listen to, gatefold picture sleeve with authentic artwork reproduction. Both the sleeve and vinyl remain in near mint condition with minimal sign of wear or play B0014877-01)
