JOHN COLTRANE My Favorite Things (2010 UK issue of the 1961 US 4-track STEREO LP on the red & purple Atlantic label - now pressed on Audiophile quality 180 Gram Heavyweight Vinyl. This classic also stars McCoy Tyner, Steve Davis and Elvin Jones, and is the first time Trane played soprano sax on record. Opens with his legendary modal reworking in 6/4 time of the Rodgers-Hammerstein composition, bringing a hypnotic Indian 'raga' feel to jazz unlike anything before! The glossysleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl is graded Excellent, fast approaching Near Mint. Essential)
