Introducing Wayne Shorter - Craft Original Jazz Classics Series 180 Gram - Sealed

WAYNE SHORTER Introducing Wayne Shorter (Craft Recordings Original Jazz Classics Series 2025 limited edition 6-track stereo LP. Originally released on Vee-Jay Records in 1960, Introducing Wayne Shorter was the debut album from one of jazz's most visionary saxophonists. At the time, Shorter was emerging as a key figure in Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, already showcasing the harmonic sophistication and compositional strength that would define his career. The album features five Shorter originals alongside a swinging take on Mack The Knife, performed with an all-star quintet: Lee Morgan (trumpet), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Jimmy Cobb (drums). Together they bring Shorter's distinctive voice into sharp focus, balancing inventive writing with deeply lyrical playing. This 2025 edition is part of the prestigious Original Jazz Classics reissue series, presented on 180-gram vinyl, pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering (AAA) from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. Presented in a deluxe Stoughton Tip-On jacket for an authentic vintage feel, with spine-wrap series obi & factory sealed. Highly recommended)
