groove mono LP, on the red & silver Savoy label, also starring
a young Miles Davis, with full personnel & recording details

CHARLIE PARKER Bird At St. Nick's (1958 first US issue
15-track mono LP on the dark green & silver Jazz Workshop
label, recorded live on a portable tape machine on the night
of February 18th, 1950 at St. Nicholas Arena in NYC, capturing
Bird in full flight with Red Rodney on trumpet, Al Haig on
piano, Tommy Potter on bass & Roy Haynes, drums. The
heavyweight pasted laminate sleeve is beautiful with no
creasing or writing, the only blemishes to mention being a
couple of tiny paper splits at a few corners, which remain in
the very corners only. Otherwise stunning near mint & as
good as it gets. The vinyl too is gleaming with just the very
lightest evidence of play. You will not find a better copy how
ever hard you try JW-500)
