This was the original British release for these two soundtrack recordings, which are highly desirable in their own right. Herrmann's score to the 1968 psychological thriller 'Twisted Nerve', as directed by the Boulting brothers [Brighton Rock, The Family Way], is equally essential, with its whistling theme given a whole new lease of life when Quentin Tarantino chose to use it during a tense hospital scene in Kill Bill Vol. 1!
