FRANK MORGAN Frank Morgan (Very rare 1955 US 10-track mono LP
pressed on RED VINYL, also
featuring Conti Candoli on Trumpet, Wild Bill Davison on Organ, Carl
Perkins on Piano, Leroy Vinnegar on Bass, Howard Roberts on Guitar &
more, including the last recorded performances of Wardell Gray on
Tenor, pasted picture sleeve with tape reinforced edges. For an album
rapidly approaching its sixtieth birthday, the sleeve is not without
issues and displays considerable shelfwear, with evidence of scuffing to
the edges before taping and a small area of taped over paper loss on
the back which seems to have been caused by a clumsy attempt at
removing a sticker some time in the distant past. The vinyl too is not
mint and displays a good few surface scuffs although it plays through
without fault. A degree of surface noise is evident too at times,
although thanks to being pressed on vinyl that would stop a bullet at
point blank range there are few clicks or pops. Realistically, this can
only be graded G+/VG-, but is still a very acceptable collection filler at
a fraction of the price that a mint copy would be [if you could find one]
