SHELLY MANNE & HIS MEN At The Black Hawk 1 (1960 US 5-track
mono LP, the first of four volumes recorded live at The Black Hawk,
also featuring Joe Gordon on Trumpet, Richie Kamuca on Tenor, Victor
Feldman on Piano & Monty Budwig on Bass, pasted picture sleeve. The
sleeve on this copy shows a fair degree of edge scuffing & shelfwear,
but remains unsplit. The vinyl too has obviously seen some action and
exhibits quite a few cosmetic scuffs, most of which are not deep
enough to affect play but may be audible at times. This copy would be
graded VG-/VG but is still an acceptable, if not mint, copy at an
advantageous price M3577)

SHELLY MANNE & HIS MEN At The Black Hawk 3 (1960 US 3-track
mono LP, also featuring Joe Gordon on Trumpet, Richie Kamuca on
Tenor, Victor Feldman on Piano & Monty Budwig On Bass, pasted
picture sleeve. The sleeve shows the usual expected shelfwear with a
degree of discolouration at the edges and the vinyl remains VG+/EX-
with a few visible surface scuffs, although none that would affect play.
What makes this copy particularly interesting, however, is that the
back is stamped and numbered by noless a historical name than
'Radio Station KNOB', which was the world's first Jazz only radio
station & operated out of Long Beach, California in the late fifties &
early sixties. This was apparently record #2699 in their library at one
time - A nice piece of Jazz history in very acceptable, if not mint,
condition M3579)
