STATUS QUO Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo (Impossibly rare DEBUT album from one of the world's best known rock bands, here in their first psychedelic incarnation, which they were soon to discard in favour of their morefamiliar sound as the album failed to chart and the follow-up Spare Parts fared as badly. The acid-induced sound makes some good use of phasing and psychedelic whimsy vocals to give a very definite 1967-68 sound.
