are arguably the greatest vocal group of all time. In the fifties they
brilliantly combined Doo-Wop, jazz and pop to create an incredible
new genre that would change the whole direction of vocal popular
music and eventually inspire Brian Wilson to create 'Pet Sounds'.

considerable artistry and will appeal to fans of all shades of vocal
music; Free Design, the Association, Harpers Bizarre and followers of

AUTOGRAPHED by Bob Strasen, Gene Puerling, Clark
Burroughs and Bob Morse of The Hi-Lo's on the front of the laminated
flipback picture sleeve. Bob Morse's signature has faded slightly,
though what's nice here is the personalised message to Vic Lewis on
the back, who was touring with the group during these early years. It
reads: 'To our very fine friend, Vic, our sincere thanks for a fine tour
(no business, just fun!), The Hi-Lo's'. What's more, the sleeve shows
minimal shelfwear and the vinyl remains mint. From the vast and
personal collection of former band-leader, booking agent and NEMS
  managing director BBL7156)
