HOPETON LEWIS Rock Steady (People are you ready? This is
Rocksteady! This was the debut 1967 UK 7" single by Hopeton, one of
the most sought after Merritone recordings as it pretty much
introduced the world to Rocksteady music. The bittersweetA-side is
backed by the tune everyone really wants, Cool Collie, a stone cold
classic. The four-prong centre is intact & the labels are the first 'flaming
logo' design with Cambridge Road address. We would grade this prize
piece of wax an honest VG. It has obviously seen action due to some
spindle wear, but plays through fierce & mean, despite a couple of faint
hairline marks in places. Really nice, & unlikely to ever see again!
