MARCIA GRIFFITHS Feel Like Jumping (1970s US wide centre
7" single issue of the 1968 rocksteady classic by Jackie
Mittoo, on the white Coxsone label. Also includes Feel Like
Jumping Pt. 2, an amazing dub version probably by Sound
Dimension, plain die-cut card sleeve. The vinyl grades VG+ &
shows some light cosmetic marks commonly associated with
the genre format but playback remains outstanding, with little
background noise - an essential track with a killer dub to
boot!)

MARCIA GRIFFITHS Funny (Rare original 1966 UK 2-track 7" vinyl
single on the red and white Island label with 'flaming sun' logo and
'Cambridge Road' address - a slow-burning soul ballad from the
honey-voiced Ms. Griffiths, also including Beggars Have No Choice by
King Sparrow, a.k.a. Leonard Dillon with, it is rumoured, vocal backing
from The Wailers. The labels are bright and clean with only a little
faint wear visible and no writing or other marks; the 3-prong push-out
centre is intact. The vinyl shows VERY little evidence of play, retaining
a beautiful lustre over 40 years on! WI-285)

MARCIA GRIFFITHS Shimmering Star (Rare 1970 UK 7" vinyl single -
It's a treat to find big dancefloor spinners in this condition: pressed on
the legendary Bamboo label, the lovely Marcia grooves out on this
worthy shot at the charts with its upbeat and happy tempo. Now, the
B-side is where the big boys play: Dodd's own hand-picked outfit of
Jamaica's finest musician, Sound Dimension, prove they have the
Midas touch with another ton of Reggae gold on the funk monster
Mun-Dun-Gu [Im & David] complete with very occasional shouts from
what sounds like Count Machukie! This is a cracking and highly sought
after spinner on a label that never fails and has only light cosmetic
marks to show for its age and barely any signs of spindle marks! Boss
Sounds, indeed!)

STAN HOPE/ MARCIA GRIFFITHS The Weight/ Tell Me Now (In Demand
1969 UK solid centre 7" single on the Gas subsidiary of Pama Records,
plain die-cut sleeve. The A-side is a boss instrumental track under a
one-off name that we presume is Sound Dimension or Mudies All Stars,
as it's credited to Harry Agustas Mudie. The b-side is sublime & worth
every penny - it's a Clement "Coxsone" Dodd production recorded at
Studio One with Marcia Griffiths set to melt your heart on vocal. This is
an ex-shop/dead stock example. The labels are Near Mint with no tears
or writing & the vinyl has an incredible deep sheen both sides &
remains in Excellent condition with only the lightest paper scuff to
show handling or play. Recommended! GAS111)
