ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Call Me By Your Name (2023 UK/EU
limited edition 17-track double album 2-LP pressed pon
180-gram black vinyl. Luca Guadagnino's Call Me By Your
Name remains one of contemporary cinema's most
evocative portraits of desire, memory, and the quiet ruptures
of first love. Set in the summer of 1983 in Northern Italy, the
film's world is built as much through its music as its
landscapes-reflecting family, education, taste and, above all,
Elio's interior life asa young pianist who filters emotion
through sound. Guadagnino envisioned a score and
soundtrack that felt deeply connected to Elio's character,
blending classical pieces, European pop, and reflective
modern compositions. Central to this is Sufjan
Stevens, who contributes three original
recordings - "Mystery of Love," "Visions of Gideon," and
a new piano rendition of "Futile Devices." Written after
conversations with the director and derived from the script
and novel, Stevens' pieces have since become inseparable
from the film's emotional identity. The wider soundtrack
draws on John Adams, Ryuichi Sakamoto, F.R. David,
Giorgio Moroder & Joe Esposito, Franco Battiato, and
The Psychedelic Furs, creating a musical vocabulary
that mirrors the film's blend of heritage, longing, and youthful
intensity. Housed inside a gatefold picture sleeve conatining
printed inners, a mini-poster and a sheet with
exclusive pictures, plus large silver hype sticker.
