PHIL SEAMEN Phil On Drums (Rare 1974 UK 4-track stereo LP, recorded live at the Country Club, Hampstead on the 17th of December, 1971. This was Phil's final release under his own name (he passed away a year after the recording), and perfectly demonstrates why he was considered the best jazz drummer in the business this side of the pond. Gerry Sailsbury (cornet), Tommy Whittle (tenor) and Brian Lemon (piano) are a few of the standout names performing here. PHIL SEAMEN TRIO Phil Seamen Meets Eddie Gomez (Rare 1968 UK 8-track stereo LP, issued on the Saga subsidiary, Pantonic, starring British pianist Tony Lee and Bill Evans' virtuoso bassist, recorded whilst Gomez was touring the UK with Evans thatyear. The laminated flipback picture sleeve is the Saga pressing with Pantonic catalogue number overstickered.
