THE WAY WE LIVE A Candle For Judith (Monster British Acid
Folk Psych 1971 UK first press 8-track LP for John Peel's
Dandelion label, recorded in two days in the summer of 1970 at
Spot Sound, London (where Cream recorded Fresh Cream) with
all instruments performed by Jim Milne & Steve Clayton,
pre-Tractor. The duo combine heavy Proto-Metal rockers with
blissed-out Fuzz Folk & British whimsy, layered with acoustic
guitar & hand percussion. The album opens with "King Dick II",
a greatlo-fi lesson in devilish psychedelics ("practice witchcraft
with your friends"!), then plunges further into the underworld of
deepest, darkest Rochdale, where the album was first conceived
in a studio attic. The cover is superb, stored away from direct
sunlight with just a little edge scuffing to the bottom edge, and if
you wanted to be picky, a tiny corner bump too. The vinyl is near
'as new' with no marks, scuffs or even spindle wear - impossible
to beat! Obtained from the private archives of a one-previous
owner collection, this comes highly recommended DAN8004)

THE WAY WE LIVE A Candle For Judith (Extremely rare 1971 UK
white label test pressing for the 8-track stereo LP, gatefold picture
sleeve. A superb slice of progressive folk/rock from Jim Milne &
Stephen Clayton, who recorded all instruments and vocals themselves
on two tape recorders in a bedroom in Rochdale. The sleeve shows
just a little shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing & the vinyl remains in
VG+/EX- condition with some mostly cosmetic blotching to show for its
forty five years. The record plays through without fault, although
some crackle should be expected in quieter passages. An acceptable,
if not mint copy, of this hard to find pressing at an advantageous price
