A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...

DAVY GRAHAM Midnight Man (Rare 1966 UK 14-track LP. The second album by the blues & jazz inspired folk guitarist who is still the peg against which all other singer/songwriters & acoustic players are measured. A true troubador & wandering minstrel, Davy infused his music with the influences of the local music of the many countries he travelled through. All of Davy's original albums are very desirable & most often found in 'well loved' condition & this copy is no exception. Whilst a long way from mint, the front laminated picture sleeve is free from any writing & shows very little wear, although the back is quite yellowed with age, and is undamaged with clearly readable spine. The vinyl too, again not mint, shows just a few light surface marks & some spindle marks in the centre of the label, & still sounds very acceptable indeed with the heavyweight sixties vinyl minimising any surface noise or clicks, resulting in the album playing an effective M-. All in all, a very nice overall VG+/EX- copy of this fantastic album at a great price! LK4780)

Tracklisting: No Preacher Blues The Fakir I'm Lookin' Thru' You Hummingbird Watermelon Man Stormy Monday Money Honey Walkin' The Dog Fire In My Soul Lost Lover Blues Neighbour Neighbour Jubilation Rags And Old Iron Jelly Roll Baker
DAVY GRAHAM & ALEXIS KORNER 3/4 A.D. (Rare 1962 UK 3-track solid centre 7" vinyl EP on the blue Topic label, the first recordings of the legendary Davy Graham, recorded by Bill Leader at his home in London in April 1961 and released one year later. Starting off with the signature tune 'Angi' [or 'Anji'], this had as much of an effect on English acoustic music as Jimi Hendrix had for the electric. This was the tune that set the benchmark for all others to strive to reach before they could classify themselves a 'competent' player. The second side contains a duet with Alexis Korner from which the title of the EP comes, being the time signature & the initial letters of both their christian names. Issued in no fewer than three different sleeves, this copy is spectacular condition with minimal wear to the front laminated flipback sleeve [sleeve notes by Alexis Korner] & flawless vinyl. A better copy of this ground breaking EP you will not find anywhere. An astounding find & needless to say, the first of these tthat we have ever been lucky enough to see! TOP70)
