the 1955 UK 10" LP, the first release in Decca's 'West African
Rhythm' series, perfect for the world music collector. Hear
whyMensah was considered the undisputed king of Highlife as
he weaves a rich tapestry of gold coast rhythms with his Afro
band, with titles such as 'Donkey Calypso', 'Tea Samba' &
'Stormy Ass'! The labels are plain white with 'Factory Sample
- Not For Sale' print at the top & the album title &
matrix/catalogue number detail is stamped one side on both
discs, complete with the fully laminated picture sleeve with
'55/11' dated scalloped flipbacks. This collector's copy has
never left British soil & remains in outstanding condition. The
sleeve is Excellent with only some light ring wear, having
stored both records all its life. These one-off test pressing
vinyl discs are in absolutely astonishing Excellent condition
with barely any evidence of play at all. Unheard of &
