A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| KALEIDOSCOPE Tangerine Dream (Extremely Rare 1967 UK
first issue 11-track MONO vinyl LP on the black & silver Fontana label -
Not to be confused with the German electro band, this debut album
from the band who later changed their name to Fairfield Parlour is now
regarded as a classic in the Psychedelic genre, ranking alongside
Nirvana [UK]'s The Story of Simon Simopath and Pink Floyd's The Piper
At The Gates Of Dawn, although it sold very little at the time. This is
the first copy of this legendary Psychedelic gem that we have ever
stocked and it remains in spectacular condition compared to most that
are seen. The non-laminated flipback picture sleeve shows a suitably
groovy image of the band with sleeve notes provided by lead singer
Peter Daltrey on the reverse. TL5448) Please see 'More Info' ...
Tracklisting: This was their debut album, released by Fontana on 24th November 1967.
Personnel:
Peter Daltrey – Vocals & Keyboards
Eddy Pumer – Guitar & Keyboards
Steve Clark – Bass & Flute
Dan Bridgman – Drums & Percussion
Condition:
The sleeve is not laminated, which means that it is normally found with considerable shelfwear & edge scuffing. Not so in this case.
The back of the sleeve remains nearly white with just a few spots of faint discoluration and a little creasing & stress to the edge of the bottom flipback with no paper loss.
The front of the sleeve also remains close to the way it did on the day of purchase. There is some fairly minor wear if you look closely, but that's about it.
The spine is clearly legible and such shelfwear that there is remains confined to a little scuffing at the corners.
You seldom see the sleeve this nice.
The vinyl remains in excellent condition.
There are a few spindle marks visible around the centre hole but it is obvious that this copy has not been played very often.
Upon very close inspection, a few light surface hairlines can be seen on the first side but these have no impact upon play. In some of the most quiet passages there is a little ambient noise on playback but this is so minor as to be almost insignificant.
It is also in MONO, the way it was designed to be heard. | | KALEIDOSCOPE White-Faced Lady (Shelved for over twenty
years, this is the 'Missing' Kaleidoscope album, a Limited
Edition eighteen track double LP featuring orchestral
segments as well as narrative lyrics by Peter Daltrey.
Recorded way back when, the record company refused to
issue this lavish concept piece about 'Angel', so it was left to
the band to finally issue it on their own record label. The
gatefold picture sleeve has the story of 'Angel' written inside
by Peter Daltrey inorder for you to visualise the twists and
turns of the musical perfomances that blend conventional and
ethnic instruments with a full orchestral backing. The cover
displays some minor general wear & the vinyl has little signs
of play KRC001)
