A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| OFEGE Try & Love (Rare 1973 Ghana first press 8-track LP on a
red & silver 'nipper stamp' label - this debut album from the
group offers a heady mix of Psychedelic Afro-Rock & Fuzz Funk
from Nigeria! The matte picture sleeve is fully intact & grades
Good, with a name annotation on the front, & there is some
obvious edge wear scuffing, discolouring & climate weathering,
as to be expected. The original company inner is included & the
fantastic artwork remains unaffected with all print legible, front
& back. There is a sticker mark on the side one label as well as
two initials annotated both sides. There are multiple spindle
marks around the centre hole to show play & all label print is
readable. The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & play
tested. The sound quality remains superb with the strange
panning effects & fuzz guitar really cutting through the mix! We
would grade the vinyl a very healthy G+/VG- with mostly just
cosmetic wear & faint hairlines not affecting play. Note: there is a
faint scratch at the end of 'It's Not Easy' causing a few clicks on
rotation & no jumps. For an African record of this vintage & type,
this remains a very acceptable example & a fascinating record to
hear in its original form. Nice! NEMI(LP)032)
