A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| POWDER Biff! Bang! Powder! (Rare 1993 UK Distortion 14-track vinyl
LP featuring previously unreleased 1968 demo recordings from this
little known San Mateo, California-based band; brothers Tom & Rich
Martin were the undisputed hipsters in their area, searching out
obscure UK imports and absorbing the tough mod sounds coming from
England. After a spellbacking visiting New Zealander Ray Columbus
[releasing one awesome single, 'Kick Me', under the name The Art
Collection], the brothers recruited drummer Bill Shoppe, and set about
writing their own material in the style of '67-era Who, The Move and
Small Faces, with strong emphasis on melody, but delivered in an
aggressive amped-up style, much of which was lost on US audiences!
The majority of these recordings were made at the legendary Gold
Star Studios in Hollywood, and remained unreleased [and largely
unknown] until they were re-discovered in the early 90s! This copy
remains sealed in original picture sleeve - a fabulous mint copy
