laminate creasing & the vinyl has only the lightest of surface marks
to indicate it ever having been played - a wonderful copy & the first
that we have ever been able to offer for sale! SCX6271)

years old DB8103) | | THE KOOBAS Koobas (2006 Korean limited edition 10-track vinyl LP,
originally released in 1969; The Koobas were initially part of the
exploding Merseyside scene in the early 60s, and soon became one of
the most respected bands in the UK, releasinga number of singles on
Pye and Columbia, before committing this incredible piece of
pop-psych to tape in late '68 - original copies sell for £700 and it's
easy to see why! An amazingly strong set of original songs, withsuperb arrangements and musicianship) ** Limited to 500 copies! **

managed to get them a role in the film Ferry AcrossThe Mersey [which
unfortunately for them ended up on the cutting floor]. They were
given a spot on The Beatles' last UK tour in December 1965, after
which they flew over to Frankfurt to record these tracks for a German
TV show. Housed in a sealedflipback picture sleeve REP08)

10. Circus | | THE KUBAS I Love Her (Mega rare archive quality 1965 UK 7"
vinyl single with an intact four prong centre. The debut release
from the English beat group from Liverpool, renamed as The
Koobas on everything after this release, on the Columbia label. Also including Magic Potion, within a Columbia company die-cut
paper sleeve. This was recorded to coincide with the bands
appearance in the Gerry & The Pacemakers film, Ferry Cross the
Mersey, but the footage was cut from the film's final release the
single did not make the charts, however they did get to promote
the single release by touring with The Beatles. This one previous
owner copy remains in an outstanding condition, the labels have
no spindle marks and the vinyl looks to have never been played.
As an added bonus, there is a copy of a one page press release
about the release of the single which should have been on the
11th December 1964, but pushed back to 1st January, which is
why the label is printed with 1964 instead of 1965. A stunning
example and the first we have ever seen!) |
