A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| THE SLAVES / VARIOUS ARTISTS Beat International (Rare
1967 Austrian Fontana label 14-track vinyl compilation LP
released in collaboration with Austrian Airlines, featuring a
sampler collection of classic Beat recordings from Dave Dee,
Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, The Spencer Davis Group, The
Walker Brothers, Wayne Fontana, The Pretty Things, Johnny
Hallyday and more. However, what stands this one-off release
apart is the inclusion of TWO rare Garage RnB tracks from
Vienna's Garage Rockers' THE SLAVES [Karl Ratzer],
the only appearance on an LP for 'Slaves Time' & 'Panic' [both
released in 1966 on the Phillips label prior to their
disbandment]. The fully laminated picture sleeve does display
some notable shelfwear including a 4.5" seam split to the
spine along with a little edge scuffing and apart from
spindlewear to the label & light surface wear showing
evidence of play, the vinyl remains in VG condition. The FIRST
of this rare sampler we've ever seen!)
