A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| THE SPECTRES (We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet (Scarce UK second
press solid centre vinyl 7" single originally released in 1967,
also including I Want It, Piccadilly company die-cut paper
sleeve. A very early single from the band that would
eventually spawn the legendary Status Quo, featuring core
members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt as well as former
members John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster. This is a far cry
from the Rock 'n' Roll now associated with the band, falling
firmly under thecategory of Freakbeat, the lead track clealy
plants roots with another classic rock outfit, the main riff was
clearly borrowed by Deep Purple for their well known number,
Black Night. The labels have just a couple of spindle
marks but are otherwise clean and, aside from a few very
light paper scuffs, the vinyl shows very little signs of play | | THE SPECTRES (We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet (Scarce UK second

copy 7" single with four-prong centre, which appears to be just
as rare if not rarer than the demo version. Here we have a very early
single from the band that would eventually spawn the legendary
Status Quo, featuring core members Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt as
well as former members John Coghlan & Alan Lancaster. This is a far
cry from the Rock 'n' Roll now associated with the band, falling under
the category of Psych-Pop/Freakbeat. Also features 'Laticia', die-cut
company sleeve. The vinyl grades VG+/EX- with a few faint cosmetic
scuffs to show play & a nice deep sheen both sides. A major Quo
rarity in nice condition - not to be missed! 7N35352)

2. Laticia | | THE SPECTRES I (Who Have Nothing) (Monster Rare 1967 Japanese
wide centred 7" vinyl single, featuring a pre-Status Quo, Francis Rossi
(guitar, vocals), Alan Lancaster (bass, vocals), Roy Lynes (keyboards,
vocals) & John Coghlan (drums). The Spectres signed a five-year deal
with Piccadilly Records in the summer of '66 & this was their debut
single, produced by John Schroeder, it hit the British record shops in
September & then worldwide in Japan in January the following year. It
remains one of the most elusive records relating to the mighty Quo!
Our Japanese buyer had to stray further afield in order to find one for
the first time. Featuring 'Neighbour, Neighbour' on the b-side &
complete with the original die-cut company sleeve & unique wraparound
lyric picture sleeve, see 'more info' for condition details... LL-1002-Y)
Tracklisting: I (Who Have Nothing)
Neighbour, Neighbour
Condition :-
Only the Netherlands & Japan had a picture sleeve to go with this single. Here is the unique Japanese-only artwork, a curious design in full colour, the sleeve is a wraparound insert with a '67.1' release date printed on the back, manufactured from thin paper stock. There are a few light crease marks from handling but no tears, foxing or writing. The lyrics to both songs are printed inside in English. Very few of these ever appear to hit the online market.
The labels are unscathed & near mint. The vinyl grades Excellennt with just the lightest few paper scuffs to identify play & little if any other cosmetic blemishes of note & performance is far higher than this initial visual grading. A remarkable find & ideal for the serious Quo collector. | | THE SPECTRES Hurdy Gurdy Man (Ultra Rare 1966 UK stock
