VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO Unripened (2007 Swedish 9-track CD album which offers the original version of their legendary first album, recorded at Scepter Studios in New York in April 1966. Subsequent sessions in May [TTG Studios, Hollywood] and November [Mayfair Studios, New York] would yield the final tracklisting for the released version. Rescued from an acetate discovered in a thrift store in New York in 2002 [and purchased for a grand total of $0.75, eventually sold on eBay for $25,200!!], the session includes drastically different versions of 'European Son', 'Heroin', 'Venus In Furs' and 'I'm Waiting For The Man', alongside alternate mixes of 'I'll Be Your Mirror' and 'Femme Fatale' - the historical significance of this release cannot be overestimated!)
