Tracklisting & More Information

This plaque was issued to commemorate a very successful sold out UK tour to promote their debut album which was released in the Summer of '74 and contained the smash hits Can't Get Enough and Ready For Love.

Mel Bush was a legendary concert promoter in the 1970's and 80's. He promoted such infamous concerts as Bowie's Aladdin Sane tour (where Ziggy 'retired'), Queens early tours and Led Zeppelin at Earls Court.

With each of the acts he promoted, once a successful tour or concert was over, Mel Bush would commission a commemorative plaque or mirror as a souvenir of the event. Usually these would be presented to the artist, key personnel and one or more retained for Mel's personal archive.

This item has remained in the archive for 39 years, but now that Mel is semi-retired, he has decided to part with his treasured archive of mirrors and plaques and we have been enlisted to help him find good homes for his collection.

The plaque itself is a landscape design measuring 11" x 12" including the aluminium frame. The plaque was commissioned back in '74 but the frame has been recently replaced.

The plaque is stylishly screen printed in just two colours, red and black and features a rear view of each of the individual band members wearing shirts with their names on the back. Above them the wording 'Nice To See Yer Back!' in red.

At the top is the band name in red outline text. The bottom portion of the plaque has all the venue and date details for the 1974 tour, with the wording 'SOLD OUT, Many Thanks, Mel Bush'

An effective design that is certainly eye-catching and remains in perfect condition having been preserved in the Mel Bush archive since it was commissioned.
